Harnessing the Power of Your Culture With Agile

What is the difference that makes all the difference in an agile initiative? In the State of Agile 2013 report published by Version One, 52% of the companies indicated that organizational culture is the single biggest barrier to progess with Agile. You can't see it, touch it, or directly measure culture. But it can make or break your agile success.

The first step towards greater agile success does not require rebooting your organization’s culture. Instead of fighting against culture, learn to work with your organization’s unique culture to start the journey to breakthrough results including delighted customers, engaged employees and awesome, innovative products & services.

Join Agile Learning Labs and our fabulous guest trainer – Michael Sahota, Certified Scrum Coach & Catalyst at Agililtrix - for a hands-on two-day workshop where you will learn how to transform your cultural effectiveness on your agile journey. You will learn by talking and doing, facilitated by real world stories from the trenches of organizational change.

Outcomes

You already have an idea of how to “do” agile. In this workshop – discover the essence of what it means to “be” agile. Regardless of your role in your organization, this workshop will give you concrete tools and techniques to start where you are now and work with your culture to achieve greater agile results. You will -

  • Learn the root challenges that underlie almost all agile initiatives and how misalignment of a change initiative with an organization’s natural culture results in conflict and wasted energy
  • Explore organizational cultures from leading firms such as Zappos, Valve, Spotify, and Netflix showing multiple alternative paths to leverage in your organization
  • Learn practical tools and approaches to immediately engage organizational leaders to clarify what they want and facilitate decision-making in alignment with the organization’s culture and goals
  • Develop a strong mental model and stance in how we approach organizations as agile leaders and coaches – using essential drivers such as trust, vulnerability, authenticity, self-worth and compassion that are gateways to all real change, including change in business
  • Acquire and practice tools and techniques to evaluate the current culture of an organization, its impact on agile initiatives and immediate options available to work more effectively immediately in your current culture
